After the Mother & Daughter Tea, we drove home to change and then we went to the La Habra Heights Avocado Festival. Savannah wanted to stay and play at her friend Madeline’s house and Madeline’s sister, Analiese, wanted to come with us to the Festival. We sort of did a kid swap thing…LOL!
We saw so many cute little animals, watched a weaver make homemade wool, petted little critters. We visited a Dog Greyhound rescue booth. I am going to have her be a guest speaker this summer for our La Habra Moms club and she will bring the dogs for the kids to meet and pet.
We then went over to the Bee Keeper. That was so neat! They had a live exhibit of bees in a bee hive making honey. I purchased some honey sticks filled with different flavored honeys. They girls LOVED them. I am going to ask Lynne the Bee Keeper to be a guest speaker this summer for La Habra Moms club also. I referred the Bee Keeper to the school principal, Kim Likert, at Savannah’s school. She really liked the idea and they are going to incorporate an event next year at school. How cool is that?
Then we went over to the bouncy houses and the girls spent what seemed to be forever having a blast there. Afterwards we did a little shopping and I got the girls beautiful butterflies.
It was a fun day…and tiring too!!

Today I took all of the girls to a Mother & Daughter Tea that I organized with both of my moms clubs. The girls wore beautiful and adorable dresses with Pet shop material, made by Grandma. We had 26 people there. I made cute Pet shop packages for the kids. I made hair bows that sported Pet shop characters and were very time consuming to make. But well worth it..the girls loved them!!
It was the first Tea for the triplets and for the most part they behaved. We had some challenging moments for THREE 3 year old triplets!! They munched on their lunch of chicken nuggets, fishie crackers, tea sandwiches and a blueberry scone. They had lemonade as their tea in little porcelain tea cups.
We had some a fun game of pulling numbers….everyone one a prize. I had made beautiful decorated sugar cookies in the shape of teapots and teacups. I had gotten the cookie cutters at East Poultney General Store last summer with the intention of using them for the Mother & Daughter Tea. I also gave out beautiful gift baskets to each mom with baked goods and chocolates inside. Then I gave each girl a rice crispy treat.
Everyone had a wonderful time. I can’t believe this was the 3rd annual tea!! We look forward to doing it again next year…

Today we went on a tour of Armstrong Garden Center that I organized with my La Habra Moms Club. At first, they forgot about our tour, but then a really nice man came to give us the tour.
There were beautiful zen-like koi ponds with water fountains, bamboo and banzai trees. He showed the kids lemon trees with little flowers and budding lemons. Then we went over to the flowers and vegetable plants. He then surprised the kids and let them each pick out a 4 inch flowering pot!! What a pleasant surprise. The girls picked out the most beautiful flowers that we will plant in our front yard garden. We also picked out a strawberry plant and , a cherry tomato plant, and a squash plant. Savannah wanted to pick out some seeds and she got sunflower seeds and I got some cucmber and eggplant seeds.
It was a beautiful sunny day and perfect for our tour!!

The triplets preschool had their open house tonight. They had a bake sale fundraiser and I donated rice crispy treats with cute Nemo rings on them. They were also serving tacos and quesadillas for dinner as a fundraiser.
We visited the classroom at about 7pm. The room was decorated with all of the kids’ artwork in the theme of a carnival. It was so fun to see the triplets crafts and artwork all around the room. There were 2 other sets of twins, their mothers are friends of mine. One of the twins’ mommies gave birth to her twins the day before I gave birth to the triplets and her room was next door to my room in the hospital. So her twins birthday is August 10th. She remembers me giving birth on August 11th because her dr., Dr. Rocca could not release her because he was in the OR doing my C-Section!!
I bought some yummy goodies from the bake sale and some tacos and quesedillas for all of us. It was a cold night and perfect for the baked goods to comfort everyone.

Yesterday I baked a bundt cake with a cream cheese coconut center. Today I frosted it and decorated it. It came out really cute. This is for today’s cake walk at the Spring Fling Carnival at Savannah’s school. I also brought in cupcakes too.
Savannah had to get to school early today, at 8:00am. Today is her field trip at Centennial Farms. I didn’t win the drawing, but 2 mothers that do a ton of volunteering in the Kindy classroom won and I feel that they really deserved it. Savannah was excited to go on the big yellow school bus.
We had a rough start getting her ready for school though. Savannah was all dressed and I have her a cup of milk to drink with breakfast. Amanda had accidently bumped her cup, causing the milk to spill all over Savannah’s outfit that she had picked out the night before to wear to the farm today. Let’s just say it didn’t go down well this morning. Anyway, with a lot of disagreements, I finally got Savannah to wear something else. We hightailed it to school. I made her a special cheeseburger with Dorito chips and a juice box in a brown bag for her lunch today. She loves her cheeseburgers. I watched as she proudly marched with all of the other Kindy kids to the school bus. They were all wearing cute blue sun visors given to them for their field trip. She stepped up into the bus. In my heart these steps were huge…steps from my little girl growing into a big girl. I had a little tear at the corner of my eye…((sigh))
I purchased wrist bracelets for trhe girls to use for unlimited access to game booths and jumpy houses. It should be a lot of fun!!

This morning I got up at 8am and had to rush around to get the triplets ready for preschool and Savannah ready to take with me to the La Habra Moms Club meeting at 9:15am.
Also, today I had planned a really fun snack for the kids. They are going to make their own pizzas!! I brought in English muffins, pizza sauce, shredded mozzarella and pepperoni. The kids were totally ecstatic about the whole fun activity!!
I made it to the meeting a little late and very exhausted. I forgot to bring the activities calendar for May, but I figured they would understand with the idea that I had just gotten out of the hospital. I felt like I was running on 2 valves.
Then I took the girls to swimming lessons at 3:30pm. Lots of work changing them into their bathing suits and then afterwards helping them get dressed in their clothes.
I was supposed to go to a Multiple Moms Night out tonight, but there is no possible way I can do it. I am too wiped out. Feel a little sore in the lower back today. I hope I don’t have anymore attacks….

So I thought I was out of the woods…I was so wrong!! At about 1:30pm today, after I picked up Savannah from school, that same pain was coming back. Oh crap!!
I drove home and tried laying down. The waves of pain were coming on like a vengeance. At about 4pm I drove to Urgent Care. They gave me a warm pack to put on my lower back. It helped, I think… They had me waiting for over an hour and a half. I left being very frustrated and not having any medical attention because there were some other cases that were pretty serious with lacerations that needed to be stitched which I totally understand.
So the pain was subsiding so I thought, maybe I finally passed it. After being home for about 1-1/2 hours, the pain was cranking up again. I put a warm pack on my lower back and it sent me into serious convlustions of pain. I was screaming. I had to drive myself to ER while Cliff stayed home and watched the kids. I had no other choice…no family here to help and all of my friends have kids and are unable to help me.
I checked in with ER and got in a room in about 1/2-+45 minutes. They ordered an u/s, had me do a urinalysis and drew some blood. The dr. thought it might be galls stones or kidney stones or even appendicitis. The u/s and tests would tell us what is going on hopefully. Tests showed that I have traces of blood in my urine. Ultrasound showed that I have urine back up into my kidney, but we couldn’t see a kidney stone which meant that there was not a kidney stone so enlarged that it was dislodged in my uretha and kidney…which is a good thing. I also have an enlarged spleen (not sure if that is bad or what) and fatty deposits in my liver (mild case of fatty liver). They told me that the fatty liver can be resolved by simply eating better, losing weight and doing exercise. Also, drinking a 1/4 of lemon juice a day is good for kidneys, gall bladder, and liver. So I will begin doing that as well as living a healthier lifestyle.
The pain subsided since 9:00pm and no more pain. They gave me a special screen to pee through to try to catch the stone. I got home from the ER at about 2am and fell asleep at about 3am. Long night…
