Today I baked 100 cupcakes – 75 for Savannah’s class which I put in the freezer to decorate on Wednesday evening for her end of year classroom party which is on Thursday.
The other 25 cupcakes I decorated for the triplet’s preschool party tomorrow.
I had baked a couple of dozen of cute daisy shaped sugar cookies. I put frosting between the cookies then decorated the outside of them.
Then I put them all together in cute treat boxes for the kids for preschool tomorrow. This is going to be a very busy week full of end of school year parties and activities..woohoo!!

Yesterday I baked a bundt cake with a cream cheese coconut center. Today I frosted it and decorated it. It came out really cute. This is for today’s cake walk at the Spring Fling Carnival at Savannah’s school. I also brought in cupcakes too.
Savannah had to get to school early today, at 8:00am. Today is her field trip at Centennial Farms. I didn’t win the drawing, but 2 mothers that do a ton of volunteering in the Kindy classroom won and I feel that they really deserved it. Savannah was excited to go on the big yellow school bus.
We had a rough start getting her ready for school though. Savannah was all dressed and I have her a cup of milk to drink with breakfast. Amanda had accidently bumped her cup, causing the milk to spill all over Savannah’s outfit that she had picked out the night before to wear to the farm today. Let’s just say it didn’t go down well this morning. Anyway, with a lot of disagreements, I finally got Savannah to wear something else. We hightailed it to school. I made her a special cheeseburger with Dorito chips and a juice box in a brown bag for her lunch today. She loves her cheeseburgers. I watched as she proudly marched with all of the other Kindy kids to the school bus. They were all wearing cute blue sun visors given to them for their field trip. She stepped up into the bus. In my heart these steps were huge…steps from my little girl growing into a big girl. I had a little tear at the corner of my eye…((sigh))
I purchased wrist bracelets for trhe girls to use for unlimited access to game booths and jumpy houses. It should be a lot of fun!!

This afternoon at 3pm we went to Sanford Studios to do a retake for a group picture. Miranda kept crossing her eyes during the photo session at the preschool so they let us do a retake in their studio today.
Well, Maryssa was very uncooperative and we couldn’t get one good shot in! I was so frustrated. Lots of work getting them ready and nothing to show for it….Ugh….

We rented a bounce house as a surprise for the girls for Easter. Our friends, Eva, who was the night nanny for the triplets, and her daughter and grandson came over. Also, our friend Cyn, who is a foster parent for 4 boys, came over. My brother Ron came over too.
We had a fun Easter Egg Hunt and the kids played in the bouncy house. We had a nice lunch of ham and the fixings.
I totally forgot to put the Easter baskets out. They had fun bubble blowing stuff in them. I will have to figure out a way to surprise them with the baskets…oops!!
I did make some yummy fudge Easter Eggs for everyone. It was a fun and relaxing day.

Up until now it has been an intimidating thought to attempt the difficult task for me to get the girls ready to go to church. Morning services are just too hard to get to on a timely manner.
Our church, Morningstar Christian Chapel, which is a non denominational affiliate Calvary Christian church, offers Wednesday evening services at 7:00pm and Sunday services at 6:00pm.
Today our church offered a 6:00pm Good Friday evening service. So I got the girls ready and we all went to church tonight.
Cliff and I took the triplets to their classroom and then we took Savannah to their classroom. It was all of the girls very first time attending their classrooms at church. They were all excited. There was a fun playground, they had lots of toys, art projects and a lesson taught about Good Friday representing the day Jesus died.
Cliff and I attended the church service and the sermon ministered by Pastor Jack Abaleen was so inspiring!! I teared up and felt the Spirit the whole time we were there. The songs we sang were beautiful and I felt the love of Jesus our Lord in me and all around us. It was His amazing Grace.
We are going to try to attend church weekly now. The girls are old enough now to learn about the teachings of Jesus and Christianity. I am so excited for them!! It will also be good for Cliff and I to attend services and get involved in the ministry as well.

Today I took the girls for their follow up eye exams to see how Amanda and Miranda were progressing with their new glasses and to also get a full eye exam for Savannah, I want to get a 2nd opinion to make sure she really needs glasses.
Amanda is showing huge improvement with her glasses. Dr. Fierson is hoping that the glasses will correct Amanda’s vision and then she won’t need them anymore. I am crossing my fingers!! xxxxx
Miranda is also showing improvement but is still crossing her left eye. We will need to patch her right eye (stronger eye) 2 hours a day while she is wearing her glasses. This is to help her left eye get stronger. We are doing this to get her optical muscle to get stronger to avoid surgery at all costs. I have a feeling Miranda will be needing glasses for quite a while but the dr. is optimistic that the glasses are to correct her vision and cross eyedness too.
Dr. Fierson said Savannah’s eyesight has actually gotten better than last year. He says she doesn’t need to wear the glasses and that they are too strong for her anyway. He said most kids are farsighted and that it improves as they get older. He feels the optometrist was negligent in prescribing glasses for Savannah and that it was a way for the optometrist to make money…grrrr…that really peeved me off. All at the expense of my pocket book, my insurance company, and most importantly at the expense of my daughter’s eyesight!!
Maryssa doesn’t really need to wear her glasses so I am going to not have her wear them. So now I am down to 2 girls in glasses and 2 girls not in glasses.
We have a re-check for Miranda’s eyes next month on May 5th. Amanda needs a re-check in 3 months.

Maryssa’s eyeglasses lasted her all of about 5 days and then they broke. She needs to wear the glasses the least of the 4 girls thank goodness.
Last weekend, Savannah and Miranda were playing around, and wouldn’t you know it, the girl who needs her glasses the most, Miranda-her glasses broke!!
I got these really cool eye glass straps that attach to the ear pieces behind the ear so the eye glasses can’t slip or fall off. However, when the girls play rough, the straps don’t do a darn thing!
So on Saturday I took Maryssa and Miranda’s glasses back to the optometrist to get them fixed. Ummm… guess what? They told me they can’t fix the glasses!! We have to order new frames for both of them. Grrrr…. Apparently they broke at the part where they can’t fix them… How dandy is that? They said it can take up to a week to get them in. Fun, fun, fun!!
