Today I baked 100 cupcakes – 75 for Savannah’s class which I put in the freezer to decorate on Wednesday evening for her end of year classroom party which is on Thursday.
The other 25 cupcakes I decorated for the triplet’s preschool party tomorrow.
I had baked a couple of dozen of cute daisy shaped sugar cookies. I put frosting between the cookies then decorated the outside of them.
Then I put them all together in cute treat boxes for the kids for preschool tomorrow. This is going to be a very busy week full of end of school year parties and activities..woohoo!!

Last Thursday we drove up to Santa Barbara and had a blast at the zoo!! My childhood friend, Rene, and her daughter, met us at the zoo. The Santa Barbara Zoo had so many beautiful exhibits and animals!! The girls fed animals and cracked up when the pig kept oinking at them. It was hilarious!! We took a really neat train ride through the zoo. It was a great way to get a tour of the zoo.
At the end of our visit, the girls were cashing in on my promise to buy them a little something from the gift shop. Savannah picked out a little stuffed giraffe. Miranda picked out a 6 inch neon green crocodile that squeaked. Maryssa picked out a 4 inch frog the ribits and lights up when you rub its belly. She also picked out these cool rubber frog rings that light up when you press the head. Amanda picked out a cute stuffed green gecko lizard. She has been into lizards lately…
At 6pm we said our goodbye’s to Rene and her daughter Savana. We drove down to our family friend, Barbara Hobbins, who lives in Ventura. For dinner, we brought dinner for everyone and Barbara’s favorite, burritos from Chipolte. We met her boyfriend Jim. She has been keeping Scotty for us and she loves him. The girls were so excited to see Scotty. We got lots of pictures and everyone had a great time.
At about 9pm that night we drove to our friends house, Steve & Reyna. They live in Oxnard. We were up for a few house and then spent the night at their house.
What a fun and eventful day we had!!

On Saturday, May 30th, I hosted a Mother & Daughter Tea at a beautiful place called Tea and Teacups in Yorba Linda. It started at 11am. I made pretty little princess hats, wands, hair bows for each girl. Each girl also received a package of beads and cord to make their own necklace and bracelet.
Each girl was so excited!! It was so special to see everyone having such a good time. The food and tea was delicious.
I arranged some fun games and prizes for the moms and girls. It was a lot of fun.
Everyone took home Rice Krispy Treats and Special Life Vitamin Water.

Today I took all 4 girls shopping at Walmart. I had Amanda sitting in the seat of the basket and Maryssa was sitting inside the basket. Miranda and Savannah walked beside me while we shopped.
Savannah wanted to get in the basket with Maryssa. Miranda loved her freedom and felt like a grown up walking beside her mommy!
Then it all changed….we approached the dozen or so aquariums with many different kinds of fish. All of the girls immediately demanded to get out of the basket. I let them all out and they glued their faces to the glass aquariums. They were mesmerized by the swaying of the swimming fish. They all agreed that their favorite fish were the algae eaters…they loved their whiskers and said they looked like cats that were fish!! So cute!!
Then I let them all hold hands and we shopped through the store. It was their first time not sitting in the basket and walking with me while I shopped. I was so proud of them.
They explored each isle and picked up a product, studied it and then they put it back on the shelf mindfully after my request to do so. They really were good little shoppers.
Once we were in line at the check out that was when things got a little crazy. You know how the stores put all of the candy and toys by the check out stand – they know parents will buy the stuff to keep their kids quiet and from going ballistic in the store . Well, I was firm and polite all at the same time when I told the girls that they couldn’t have any candy, gum or toys. They did really give a big fuss at all about it. Whew!!
I can only imagine what shopping is going to be like when they are teenagers…

A couple of days ago we had a real fiasco here. All of the girls were playing int he backyard. Then I saw only 3 girls in the backyard. Amanda was missing. So I start going through the house looking for her.
Savannah runs in the house and screams for me that Amanda had locked herself in our master bathroom!! So I run and open the door. When I opened the door Amanda screams. She slipped on the floor and split her bottom lip open.
The floor was COVERED with slipper, oily, messy goop!! I saw next to her on the floor was my empty bottle of expensive hair potion called BioSilk. This stuff is more expensive per ounce than gasoline for your car!! I quickly had to put that thought in the back of my mind and calm down Amanda.
Once I got her lip stabilized, I talked to her about how dangerous it was to get into things without asking me first. She was more upset than me, the poor little sweetie.
My floor is slippery every time we walk on it. I have no idea how to fix it. I think I will try Dawn detergent. They say it cuts the grease out. Maybe it will cut my hair potion out!!

Yesterday Miranda was playing in the pool in the backyard. A bee flew right on her finger and stung her. That MEAN bee!! She screamed so loud I thought her tonsils were going to spill out. She was in so much pain. Cliff and I both had to work on getting the stinger out. That stinger was in her finger pretty good.
She scored a really cute Curious George band-aid out of the deal though. All is well now in Miranda Land.
My poor baby girl….
