Yesterday Cliff and I took the girls to Disneyland. It was a HOT 100 degrees. We arrived at noon so it was pretty toasty. The first ride we went on was The Jungle Cruise so we could all cool off. We moved onto Pirates of the Caribbean which was very refreshing!!
After lunch we saw a fabulous new parade called “Celebrate”. Then Cliff wanted to take Savannah to see Star Tours. Savannah had a blast. She is now totally into Star Wars.
We lucked out and a live theatrical outdoor show called “Return of the Jedi” was underway so we saw that. That further deepened Savannah’s intrigue to see the movie Star Wars. I foresee “The Dark Side” will be happening here soon. LOL!!

I dropped off all of the paperwork to enroll her into Kindergarten last Friday. I have to take Savannah to a “Kindergarten Roundup” appt. on May 7th. This evaluates all of the kids to make sure they are ready for kindergarten.
There was so much paperwork to complete for the enrollment process. I had to get a certification from the dentist that Savannah has been getting check ups and that her teeth are in good condition and she is getting good oral care.
I took Savannah for her 5 year physical with the pediatrician. Savannah had to get 4 vaccination shots, a prick on the finger to check for anemia and a TB test. This was part of the requirement for Savannah to attend Kindergarten.
The Kindergarten classes have a early bird session from 8:30am-11:50am and a late bird session from 10:30 to 1:50pm. All of the kids attend the early bird session for a month. They will assign the kids either a early or late session depending on how well the children do with the early morning session.
I am going to cry my eyes out when I take Savannah to her first day of Kindergarten. She is growing up so fast….

On Monday I took the girls to the Brea mall to have some Spring portraits done, meet the Easter Bunny and get a portrait with him, and to go to Godiva chocolate and cash in my 2 coupons and give the girls a yummy chocolate treat.
The girls didn’t do so good taking the pictures at JCPenney Portait Studio. Miranda was really uncooperative and said, “Mommy, I need to go potty!”. I told her “Honey, it’s ok to pee pee in your diaper”. Miranda bellowed, “No Mommy I no pee in my diaper, I pee pee on the potty!” She stood her ground and I had to follow through with the potty training gig. I told the photographer I had to take Miranda to the bathroom. Turns out the bathroom is one floor down – meaning packing up all of the girls and taking the elevator downstairs and waking across the department store to the bathroom.
So, I did just that!! Miranda was so scared to see the huge, big potty. This was her very first time going into a public bathroom and sitting on a big toilet. Why do they have that HUGE, open split in the front of the toilet seat? It must look like a huge abyss to a little toddler!!
Miranda screamed and cried. She was petrified. I talked her through it. She peed in the toilet and very quickly got off the toilet. I am happy to announce her diaper was dry!! She got to wash her hands in the sink and that was a huge thing for her too, a first time to do that too!!
We then proceeded to visit the Easter Bunny and got pictures with him. Then we celebrated at Godiva chocolate and the girls had a great time.
So this was a huge milestone for Miranda. My baby girl pee pee’d in a public toilet for the frist time today!! Way to go Miranda!!!
By the way, we re-took the girls Spring – Easter – Savannah’s 5th birthday pictures yesterday, Tuesday, at Whitwood Mall JCPenney’s Portrait Studio. This time the girls were really cooperative. I made sure to tell Miranda to get all of her pee pee out before we left for the photographer. With a little help (or should I say bribe!) from some bunny-shaped marshmellows, the girls took some awesome pictures!!!

We took the girls to the La Habra Heights Eggstravaganza this morning at 10am. They had a blast riding on the pony rides, marveled at the animals in the petting zoo, snuggled and petted the sweet little fluffy bunnies and met the Easter Bunny and got pictures with him. We had do much fun, We ran into lots of our friends. We brought our dog Teddy with us and he had a lot of fun too!!
At 12pm we went to Carbon Canyon Park where we had a nice picnic lunch and fed ducks at the lake. Then we had a fun Easter Egg hunt. Teddie came with us enjoyed himself at the park.
The weather today was gorgeous, about 75 degrees and sunny skies. A truly wonderful day for all of us!!

Yesterday morning at 8:30am I was getting clothes out of the triplet’s closet. The closet has doors that slide. Once in a while I might have to pull the door a little hard to get it to slide. I did this and then the door slide over very fast and I couldn’t get my hand out quick enough and,,,,WHAM!! The finger go slammed in the door,.
Can I just say #@!&*( OUCH!!! The pain was so ridiculously bad that I cried big crocodile tears, I put ice on it immediately and elevated my arm. Throughout the day it turned purple and got really swollen. It looked like a giant purple tootsie pop on my finger!!
I went to Urgent Care last night and the dr. ordered X-Rays. Sure enough, I broke the bone in the tip of my middle finger. I got a finger brace and a prescription for Ibuprofen. It will take 6 weeks for the bone to mend and 3 weeks for the blood to absorb and the purple and blue marks to go away. Nice…..
It is so hard to change diapers and clothes on the girls. Ugh!!!

Yesterday Savannah and I played an April’s Fools joke on Daddy. Savannah has 2 bottom teeth and an upper tooth that are loose. I told him that all 3 fell out. He freaked. Savvy cracked up and opened her mouth wide and said April Fool’s Daddy!! Ha!! What a great day…snicker snicker!! LOL!!
I figure pretty soon Savvy will be learning about the tooth fairy because all of these loose teeth are going to be falling out!! Ugh…I am not ready for this. My baby is now a little girl (sniff, sniff).

She lived in the next town over, Whittier, and then got this house in my neighborhood. I pass her house all of the time during my walks, running errands, etc. Helicopters have flown over our homes when the babies come home from the hospital and there is lots of media coverage and loads of curious people wandering about. Not fun for any of us…
Guess what happened to me today at the bank? I had a really bad experience with a man at the bank. I took all 4 girls with me to the bank on the way to run our errands (I don’t have a babysitter or nanny). You can imagine the sight waiting in line with all 4 girls. I accidentally bumped my purse very lightly into the man in front of me and he yelled at me telling me that he is very fragile and can fall over very easily. I excused myself and apologized for bumping into him. Then he started making these nasty OCTOMOM remarks to me, saying I had too many kids and that I was irresponsible just like her. I was insulted and retorted back that he didn’t know me and that I was a responsible and loving mother and wife. He started arguing with me. It turned into a yelling match in line. Apparently this man gives all of the bank tellers a really bad time and no one likes to wait on him. He is was a real jerk to me and then when he got to the teller he was a jerk to the teller, the poor girl. Everyone in line was just watching in horror as this man and made himself look ridiculous. The bank teller that helped me told me she couldn’t stand him and that she was glad that I stuck up for myself and she wished she could tell him to be more polite to all of the tellers at the bank.
I tell you, I think the media has twisted this whole thing and has made a miraculous and beautiful thing of having multiples or even just having babies or children in general look shameful and disgusting. It is really a shame….
