Savannah has always been a fabulous dental patient. I am so proud of her!
Well those pesky little cavities reared their ugly little heads – all 3 of them. I am going to take her to see Uncle Ned for a 2nd opinion and if he says that they require fillings, then I will have him do them. I trust my kids teeth to Uncle Ned.

Today was a gorgeous day!! Sunny blue warm skies. A great day for a Valentine’s party!! I baked heart shaped Valentines cookies for the kids to decorate in the afternoon.
I arranged to surprise the girls and have a bouncy house delivered for them to play in today. When the bouncy house was set up, the girls freaked and screamed with joy. They all ran out and immediately dove into the jumper!!
I also invited my friend Corrie and her kids too. Her kids didn’t know about the bouncy house so when they arrived, they were totally surprised!!
I had pizza delivered and we had ice cream sundaes for dessert.
What a great Valentine’s Day!!

Savannah’s school was selling cute Pinwheel Valentine’s that were available for purchase all of this week. I ordered 5 of them, one for Savannah, 4 for her best friends in Kindy and one for her teacher. The Pinwheel Valentine’s would be delivered to Savannah, her friends and her teacher today.
Savannah had a Valentine’s Exchange in her classroom today. She brought Littlest Pet Shop Valentines, goody bags filled with candy and a huge heart shaped crazy straw. She brought Sally Field chocolate chip cookie tin for her teacher along with a heart shaped wind chime.
She recieved lots of fun Valentines stuff. She received a Valentine’s Pinwheel from a boy named Austin in her class!! Oh boy!!

The girls brought goody bags with Littlest Pet Shop Valentines, Valentine’s pencils with cute boa feathers on the end and cute heart shaped erasers. They were so cute!!
There were about 28 kids at the party today and about 15 moms, It was a big party..woo hoo!!

Today Savannah was off of school in observance of Lincoln’s Birthday. So today I planned a fun day for the girls at La Brea Tarpits.
I negotiated a discount group rate for La Habra Moms Club. About 12 other children and 6 other moms joined us. It was a lot of fun.
The girls got to see skeletons of saber tooth tigers, mammoth elephant, and all sorts of different prehistoric animals. We saw a very interesting educational film about the theory of how the prehistoric animals got stuck in 4 inches of tar and how they ceased because they couldn’t get themselves out of the tar because it was so sticky. We also saw a real excavation in action! It was about 20 feet deep and they had an observation deck.
Afterwards, my friend Corrie and her kids came over for lunch and a play date. It was a fun day!

Today my little girls swam kicking their arms and leg about 5 feet from the wall of the swimming pool to their swimming teacher, Miss Gail.
They are all wearing foam floating device that strap around their waist to make sure they don’t sink and teach them how to float, swim and stay upright.
I was so proud with joy to see my girls swimming for the first time. Look out Soak City Water Park, here we come!!

Today was a big day for our Daisy Troop – it was our Investiture Ceremony which formally announces that the girls have become Daisy Girl Scouts. All of the girls wore their Daisy Crowns that we made together in last week’s meeting.
We had many parents and guests attend the ceremony. As I read what each daisy petal represented for the Daisy Girl Scout, each girl brought a petal of the daisy up to the felt board to make a complete Daisy.
Each girl said their girl scout promise and then was presented with their Daisy smock that had their 1st patch and Girl Scout medallion on it.
We finished the ceremony with everyone standing in a circle and doing the Girl Scout Friendship squeeze.
Then we had cookies and lemonade and took lots of pictures. What a wonderful day it was.
Savannah, my sweetheart, congratulations for becoming a Daisy. I am so proud of you!!
