First Day of school for ALL of my girls!

First Day of school for ALL of my girls!

All summer I have been preparing for this day – in my mind.  How in the world am I going to get 4 girls dressed, fed, hair done, lunches made and ready to get out of the door by 8:00am today?

Well easy…I will get up at 6am!   So last night I put the girls to bed at 8pm.   They kept waking up so I knew it was going to be hard to wake them up.  I started waking them up at 6:45am.   By 7am I had all of them up and helping them get dressed and ready.

Driving to Savannah’s school is always HELLish the first day.   So I parked down the street and walked her to class.    Her new teacher is Mrs. Stephenson. She has a reputation for not being the nicest teacher and she is very strict.  Hopefully it will go ok for Savannah this year.

I then came home and the triplets were home with daddy.  I spent some time with them and then at 9am I took them to school.  Well, little did I know that they were supposed to start at 10am and go for just one hour today!  Ooops.  So we hung out at their old preschool teacher, Mrs. Drilling for an hour.  It was really nice.    At 10am we went to Mrs. Rolbecki’s class.   What a wonderful teacher she is.    So nice, patient, kind, understanding and loving.

I picked them up an hour later and they were so happy.  Then at 3pm I picked up Savannah.  Ugh…   I saw the teacher scolding her and telling her she needs to listen and follow directions.   The teacher scolded Savannah in front of all the kids in front of the school.    I quickly got out of my car and went to Savannah.  The teacher then proceeded to tell me how terrible Savannah was at following directions..again embarrassing us in front of all of the other kids and parent.  I thought it was a very inappropriate time for her to be discussing that with me.

Savannah then cried all the way home and then for an hour at home.  I was PISSED.  I called the school and requested an immediate parent/teacher/principal conference that day.  I got a call in about an hour.  We had the conference and I told the teacher my concerns about how she handled the situation appropriately.    Hopefully we will get on a better footing after this…ugh!!

Babyshower at Mimi’s

Tonight I hosted a baby shower for one of our members in our moms club.  She is due to have her baby next week!   We had a very nice baby shower for her at Mimi’s Cafe in Whittier.    We had some fun games and had a delicious dinner.  The manager comped us a couple of free appetizers.

I made a pretty diaper cake with lots of cute little baby items and $20 cash.  Everyone else gave her some nice presents too.

The nice thing about tonight is that it was a fundraising dinner and our club earned 15% of all sales from our purchase of dinner at Mimi’s.  Andrea’s family came and ate dinner also.

A fun visit with family at the beach

My cousin, Kristin, came over with her boys, Brendan and Dylan.  We played on the beach and then came back to the house for lunch.  We got some great pictures and had a lot of fun.    Kristen had to hurry up because they were catching a boat to Catalina at 1:00pm.

Yesterday we picked up Cliff from the airport.  He was a bit grumpy because I forgot to pack him some clothes for the beach.  It was a little cold on the beach this weekend.   Oh well…   He is a home body and would much rather be home.   BORING…LOL!

Spending the weekend at the beach!

Uncle Ned said that the girls and I and Rob could spend the weekend at his house.    It will be convenient because I can pick up Cliff from the airport which is only 15 minutes from Manhattan Beach.

We arrived tonight and I made the girls dinner and they all laid down on the comfy couch and watched cartoons till they all fell fast asleep.

Daddy left for Japan and a fun birthday party

We drove daddy to the LAX airport for his one week trip to Japan.    We will pick him up next weekend.

This afternoon we went to a friend, Lana’s, 4 year birthday party.   They had a bouncy house and they have a couple of horses so all of the kids got a fun pony ride.  Then the kids got to decorate their bags and then Lana’s mommy, Karen, put fun treats and candy in the bags as party favors.

Everyone had pizza and yummy stuff for an early dinner and then the kids decorated cupcakes.

Then the kids played dress up and played with cute little kittens.  It was a fun party.

Savannah’s dentist check up and FISH!

Savannah was the perfect patient at her dental check up and cleaning. I am thrilled to report that they don’t see any cavities – yay!  She picked a dinosaur out of the toy box.

Savannah’s 2 upper front teeth are really coming in now.  her bottom teeth are all in.  Her incisors still have not come in yet.

Then we headed out to the San Pedro Cabrillo Aquarium and met up with a bunch of our friends with the La Habra Moms Club.  We had a picnnic lunch at the park on the beach then at 1pm we all went to the aquarium.    Everyone had a lot of fun at the aquarium.    After a few hours we went back to play on the playground and then I took the girls on a nice long walk along the water on the beach.

At 5pm we went to Ron’s and I made everyone spaghetti and meatballs for dinner.

It was a great day!

Another birthday Party?

Today the triplets had their girlie party at Sea Scape in Anaheim.  It is a cool place with bouncy houses and guns that shoot Nerf balls.    The kids had a blast and then we had lunch in the party room.   They played a video of pictures that they took of the triplets during their play time and they showed it during the birthday luncheon.   Then they got their fun birthday cupcakes and then everyone got balloons and a goody bag.

Happy Birthday to my beautiful trio – Amanda, Miranda & Maryssa!!
